Causes: Business & Industry
Mission: The icba will promote awareness of the industry as a whole while educating the members of the indiana hospitality industry and the public at large on the range, standards, and best practices of craft beverages.
Programs: Mixture - indianapolis cocktail tour: an annual celebration of craft cocktails centered in downtown indianapolis, indiana designed to promote, support, and showcase the competencies and special abilities of indiana bartenders and restaurateurs in the realm of cocktail beverages. Activities included in this event are: a) convention of hospitality industry professionals b) lectures and demonstrations from local and/or national bartenders and/or restaurateurs for the enrichment of fellow professionals and the interested public c) an open-to-the-public ticketed showcase of talent and wares by indiana bartenders and retaurateurs centered around the municipal space on georgia street in downtown indianapolis and satellite venues within indianapolis neighborhoods. This is executed under the direction of the indiana craft beverage association, inc. (known as icba) through its board of directors, with the cooperation of indianapolis downtown, inc. (doing business as downtown indy), local municipal authorities and local businesses.
repeal day fundraiser: an annual one evening event on december 5th produced in cooperation between icba and the local chapter of the united states bartenders guild. This event is open to the public and proceeds are divided between the icba and usbg.
