Mission: IASE offers comprehensive, interdisciplinary, culturally sensitive workplace curricula specifically designed to focus on increasing linguistic, conceptual, and health literacy to the many immigrant and non-English speaking service workers. IASE provides the International Experiential Learning Program that provides medical students and students from other disciplines to focus on clinical health, public health, education, business, international policies or environmental issues while developing professional and personal skills in an international setting working side by side with other international students, professionals and community members.
Programs: IASE offers service learning programs abroad with academic supervision. The service learning opportunities in Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Teacher's Education, Teaching , Public Health, Environmental Studies, Literacy, Social work, Business, ESL, EFL, EthicStudies and Women's studies. It offers seminars for students in the following areas:health,Spanish language, indigenous language, psycho / social/political issues, and folklore. The program also offers students to use their language skills and cultural knowledge in real life work situations that will be useful in their professional work of life.
