Hunger2Hope is changing lives in a very basic way. I have been able to donate to their pantry and seen the foods being used to bless the children in our community. They get food to the kids discreetly and efficiently every week so the kids have healthy, convienient options to eat on the weekends when they do not receive two meals a day at school. They also make an effort to meet the emotional needs of the children they come in contact with. Each child is given a sponsor who writes them encouraging notes and leaves them occasional surprises, providing these kids with one more connection to a caring adult!

I’ve volunteered with this organization for several years. To watch the organization grow to be able to touch the lives of so many, not just the children, but the volunteers, has been a joy! The children always seem to bless us with their notes back to their sponsors, businesses that help, and to the organization itself.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Hunger2Hope! Getting to serve these children is the highlight of my week. Knowing 30 minutes of my time positively impacts a child in such a big way puts a huge smile on my face! I tell everyone about Hunger2Hope and how easy it is to make a difference in our community. I love serving alongside all these precious people! When you see videos and hear letters read of what the kids think about it, it really confirms the need for this program and the difference it's making!

H2H is a great way to teach kids about serving and being the hands and feet of Jesus, in a practical way, while meeting a need at the same time. It's amazing to see such a small donation make such a big impact!

Hunger 2 Hope is an amazing program! It has helped my family so much when we needed it the most! The sweet and encouraging notes from the sponsors in the backpacks each week really brighten the children's spirits and give them comfort and hope for the future. My daughter really has been lucky, because she has the opportunity to help pack the backpacks with her teacher. She feels very important because she is learning so much responsibility and the importance of helping others in need. Hunger to hope is truly a blessing to us and we are so grateful for the love and help we have received.

This was found in a backpack one evening while we were packing for the next week. It always warms our hearts to see the kids so eager to say "thank you" to he sponsors that write them notes and shower them with love! Thank you, Lord for these simple reminders!

From the beginning of this fledgling dream of giving hope to kids through a back pack till today when it is becoming a full on outreach it has been a joy to watch the team grow and give and pray and cry. Never have I seen such a group of dedicated individuals whose desire is not for self-aggrandizement but simply to serve kids and teachers. Completely desiring to reach out and to serve more.

The process is simple - a backpack gets filled by volunteers with proteins, vegetables, fruits (canned and fresh), a few snack items, breakfast items, a dessert item and a juice or water. The backpack is delivered to a child that has been identified as needing food on the weekends. It is given discretely by the child's teacher on Friday with the simple instructions to bring the back pack back to school on Monday. Some of the students are "adopted" by the volunteers that will write encouraging notes to the students or put in simple gifts or games.

You can get involved through donations of time - stocking shelves, filling back packs, Talent - helping build shelves, organizing food groups, helping reach more schools, organizing food drives, Treasure - financial donations, purchasing food and bringing it to the pantry.

Partner with us and see what joy and hope mean to kid who has neither.

I've stuffed back packs, donated food, and torn down walls to make room for more food! You can always tell the health of an organization by the impact that it is having and the workers who provide support. All the volunteers are eager to help, and from what I can see the volunteer base is growing! Each year that I have been involved they've come back asking for more because they just added on a new school to partner with!

I am one of the volunteers who comes to pack backpacks every Wednesday. It has become a joy to meet with my "family" each week as we connect with each other and serve the Lord together as One. It is one of my favorite times during the week when I get to come to the pantry, waiting to see which volunteer groups may be there to help! We have had all sorts; Family Nightime Field Trip, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Community Leaders, YouFit employee volunteers, and the list goes on

My child has a Hunger2Hope sponsor that writes her notes of encouragement and lets her know that she's prayed for often. There have been some days that I know that is what she clings to... that there is someone besides her parents that care.
