Causes: Mental Health, Residential Mental Health Treatment
Mission: The Human Development Center (HDC) is dedicated to providing group home living, adult day training, life skills, transportation, education, and employment to adult individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and intensive behavioral issues. Our goal remains to teach individuals with disabilities the behaviors they need to live successfully and independently in the community.
Results: HDC has had an enormous positive impact in the long range quality of our client’s lives. Without organizations such as HDC, these individuals are offered little help and will often end up institutionalized, incarcerated, homeless or being supported and cared for by aging parents. We hope that you will be part of our mission removing the barriers to inclusion for all.
Target demographics: Adults Individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
