Causes: Community Foundations, Philanthropy
Mission: We exist to facilitate the development of healthy communities through partnerships with Haitian churches and organizations to encourage sustainable physical, spiritual and economic health; we desire to communicate Christ-centered compassion as well as respect for the dignity and resources of the Haitian people.
Target demographics: Families struggling to stay together due to severe economic pressures they face. Extreme poverty can often push families to give up one or more children to an orphanage just so the children can eat and go to school.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 42 families with school sponsorships, treated over 9,500 patients in our medical clinic, and produced over 15,000 eggs through our egg cooperative (.
Geographic areas served: Gonaives, Haiti
Programs: School sponsorships, medical care for families, and job creation opportunities to move toward self-sustainability.
