Programs: Food recipient program - hole food rescue has partnered with 30 local nonprofits that help us redistribute the recovered food back into the community. Our main priority is donating food to organizations that provide food assistance to the homeless and hungry, at-risk youth, at-risk individuals and families, and other underserved community members. We also donate food to community service organizations that benefit our community, such as teton county search and rescue and jackson hole fire/ems.
food rescue program - in 2017, hole food rescue recovered 213,000 pounds of food. This equals 177,500 meals back into the community. We served around 1,000 food insecure community members on a weekly basis with this nutritious rescued food.
education & outreach - hole food rescue provides public education through our annual million pound party and through various community events such as the eco fair, the jackson hole farmers market, and the people's market. We also provide interactive lessons at local public and private schools.
