For many years, Judy and I (Chuck), were very active in helping the Mustangs of Utah. On our 80 acre Cubel ranch we had nine horses. Unfortunately, due to our health and age, it became more and more difficult for us to tend and maintain our small herd. Finally, after trying to sell or give away our Mustangs to good homes, we were desperate to know what to do. Through correspondence and recommendation we were introduced to the High Sierra Wild Horse Sanctuary. Nadia and Joe came to Utah and picked up four of the horses. A month later we delivered two more Mustangs to their sanctuary and donated our stock trailer. We stayed for two days and got to see where our four-legged friends would be living. We helped out what little we could while we were there and stayed overnight in their bunkhouse. Nadia and Joe have a lot of horses that would not have had a chance without the Lane's generous and kind dedication.
