Mission: Helping people with disabilities obtain employment and provide continuing support while working in ability one government contracts or in mobile workgroups throughout the region.
Programs: Contract services program - goodwill of western missouri and eastern kansas operates two government contracts through the jarvis wagoner oday act providing janitorial services to gsa and dod building sites. These set aside contracts require having 75% of the workforce be disabled. Both contracts together, currently employ 53 disabled individuals, equaling almost 73% of the workforce. Clients are provided job training, case management and support services to ensure a higher rate of success in competitive employment.
extended employment services program - goodwill of western missouri and eastern kansas provide vocational services to the severely disabled individual through either a traditional sheltered workshop environment or a community based sheltered enclave program. We have 35 individuals in these programs that focus on intense support services, job training, promoting independence and enhancing dignity.
