Causes: Community Clinics, Health
Mission: Healing bridge clinic exists to demonstrate the love of jesus christ through the provision of health care services especially to the underprivileged. Specific services and functions include: providing free health care services in a clinic or classroom format for individuals who are uninsured and living at or below 200% of the poverty level and who reside in fayette, coweta and/or south fulton counties; sharing the gospel of jesus christ; demonstrating god's love; providing and strengthening health care services in the identified service areas; offering christian counseling to those who seek care through our clinic; and providing medications and/or medical prescriptions, dental and visual aids as our clinic resources allow.
Programs: During 2016, healing bridge clinic provided free health care services and help in monitoring diabetes and other specific needs for individuals - over 720 clinic visits during 2016. These are individuals who are uninsured and living at or below 200% of the poverty level in fayette, coweta and/or south fulton counties. The clinic offers to share the gospel of jesus christ with these individuals. These services were provided for the most part by approximately 132 volunteer doctors, nurses and administrative personnel who provided over 7896 hours of their time for approximate value of services of 280,991. Other services included are limited dental services, physical therapy services and a monthly women's wellness clinic, includng pap smears and mammograms through the support of piedmont fayette hospital and opi.
