Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: Religious, charitable, and education. To engage individuals in using their time, talents, and resources to create positive change in the world. We engage volunteers in working toward helping orphans, widows, and those in need both in uganda and in our community in minnesota. We run a volunteer driven gift shoppe focusing on handmade and fair trade products to raise funding and awareness of social issues locally and internationally and all funds raised go toward our ministry.
Programs: We raise funding to help pay for the daily operation of a school 600+ children grades preschool through 5 in eastern uganda. We also support hands of action international to provide a fair wage to teachers and staff and provided funding for a daily feeding program for the students who were otherwise malnourished, some eating less than three times a week we also funding the building of a women's sewing center on the school campus so that the widows who care for the orphans can make an income while the kids are at school.
we opened a fair trade and handmade volunteer run gift shoppe which engaged 22 volunteers in 2016 in using their time, talents, and creativity to raise funding for and awareness of fair trade and social issues locally and internationally. Volunteers at the shoppe also worked on the international work including organizing the fundraising efforts and helping to educate the public on our ministry.
