Mission: To provide emergency foster care for abused, neglected, and/or abandoned children - from birth to the age of 12 - until they can be reunited with their family or adopted into a loving home.
Programs: Grandmas place is an emergency shelter for children from birth to 12 years old caring for children in a safe, home-like environment. Since its beginnings in 1998, Grandmas has been the home for over 2,000 boys and girls from Palm Beach County. Grandmas Place makes sure that every child receives individual attention while in residence and where appropriate makes sure that their schooling and activities are continued and in keeping with their circumstances. Grandmas Place has recently implemented a program to advance the exposure to many educational opportunities that children in foster care rarely have the opportunity to experience. We instituted a Behavioral Management Therapy Program that includes Music & Art Therapy that each child can participate in regardless of age or length of stay. Grandmas board of directors wants Grandma's Place to be a place all children will feel loved, wanted, and secure, no matter gender, ethnicity, age, or developmental stage. Grandmas Place is a happy place.
