Mission: Good shepherd residential treatment centre, inc. Is a texas non-profit, tax exempt organization whose sole purpose is to provide total life-care, educational and counseling activities to displaced emotionally disturbed and learning disabled adolescent males aged 7 years through 17 years. Children are placed in the good shepherd children's home by (cps) child protective services and county/state juvenile probation departments. Good shepherd residential treatment centre, inc. Is licensed by the texas department of protective and regulatory services: licensed facility 548412, the texas commission on alcohol and drug abuse (tcada) as a clinical health care provider for treatment of alcohol and drug related dysfunctions; tcada license 2079-a and additionally licensed as a clinical training institution to provide on-site dyadic training and supervision for lcdc students and associate degree chemical dependency counselors tcada license 1974-a.
Programs: During our fifteenth year of operations we have successfully provided food, shelter, clothing, education and emotional support for 72 young men. We have expanded our capacity and enhanced training of a qualified support staff to enable us to care for an average of 40 young men per day. State governmental organizations have approved our applications to receive and care for the most hard to place emotionally dysfunctional youths, increasing our license capacities. We are currently at our maximum allowed residential capacity. We have grown to our highest expectations for residential space. We have added playing fields for soccer and courts for volleyball. In 2014 we added to our playground.
