Programs: Zhang sah's elementary out of school program model which is a community based school-age child care sports youth development program that offers year round programming for the summer and school year. The program is founded upon the principles and practice of traditional martial arts and best practices in education. This model has proven itself over the years to be effective and efficient in achieving positive youth outcomes. Zhang sah has been a leader in out of school time by achieving dpw licensure, national accreditation, keystone stars, and healthy living guidelines. We believe in quality and have always been an early adopter to any standard that helps the organization achieve excellence in program delivery. Our progressive business model and unique program has afforded zhang sah distinction in the martial arts, youth development, childcare, and education fields. We completed a case study regarding participant outcomes and published our findings in may 2017. The publication title: zhang sah case study: the relationship between, physical fitness, socio-emotional learning and academic achievement. The program utilizes sports based positive youth development as a strategy to achieve dhs ost project goals and outcomes. Zhang sah supports the mental and physical health and well-being of its members by offering them tools for resiliency and discovery along with black belt training age appropriate martial arts training, character education, and scientific and philosophical teaching. Within these offerings, zhang sah supports working families with structured programs that provide educational development for young adults in grades 6-8. Zhang sah leverages project based learning (pbl), a dynamic multi-disciplinary approach to encourage students to actively explore real-world problems that are important to them. This model aims to support the acquisition of a deeper knowledge and understanding of a variety of transferable skills, such as inquiry, problem solving, and collaborative skills. The pbl approach is used as the primary framework to deliver youth directed activities. Zhang sah has designed and named the pbl model mostsports+, which is a program model that creates a unique and rich opportunity for asset based positive youth development. Mostsports+ (middle school out of school time sports plus) is a program model proposed by zhang sah in collaboration with the philadelphia youth sports collaborative (pysc) , community groups, and local schools designed with the goal to create a geographically and financially accessible m ost opportunity to the at-risk kids that need it the m ost during the time of their lives that has the m ost impact.
zhang sah is a sports for juvenile justice provider. We provide young offenders with an alternative to community service that affords the youth an opportunity to be exposed to physical practice and character development through the japanese art of judo. The main goal of the program is to satisfy the community service sentence meanwhile cultivating an instilling a greater sense of empathy and mutual benefit.
