Causes: Education
Mission: Global youth leadership institute delivers transformative educational programs that foster global pluralism, collaborative leadership, and environmental care and that help students and teachers become fully engaged with citizens of the world.
Programs: Gyli offers educational leadership programs to students from 8th-12th grade in the usa and internationally. In 2014 we worked with over 350 students and teachers to help them develop skills and ablities in the areas of collaborative leadership, multi-cultural identity, religious pluralism and environmental sustainablity.
our largest program is our high school sequence which allows high school students and teachers to travel to tall ships, a mountain retreat center in northern new mexico and costa rica for short term programs over 3 summers.
additionally, gyli offers in-bound exchange programs for students from iraq and other countries in partnership with washington dc-based organizations such as world learning and meridian.
