Mission: Girl scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
Programs: Girl scouts of eastern south carolina gives girls in k5-12th grade the opportunity to discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. The girl scout national program portfolio has two main parts - the national leadership journeys and the girl's guide to girl scouting. Complemented by the girl scout cookie program, girl scout travel and girl scout awards, the national program portfolio is designed to help girls develop as leaders and build confidence by learning new skills. It also ensures that girl scouts at every level are sharing a powerful, national experience-girls together changing the world. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others. Girl scouts of eastern south carolina serves over 12,000 girls and adults in 21 counties in eastern south carolina.
