Mission: Friendship apl receives companion animals through cruelty investigations, rescue from high volume shelters and direct owner surrender. The staff and volunteers care for the animals until they are adopted into a new home.
Programs: Animal care and rescue - performed an estimated 310 cruelty investigations and assisted over 4,500 animals. All cats and dogs adopted out of our facility have been spayed and neutered to reduce animal overpopulation. Through our collaborative efforts with rescues, our partnerships with local non-profits and our creative use of media, we found homes for an amazing 97% of the dogs and 95% of the cats rescued by our team.
This shelter is great at getting animals adopted out and they are always grateful for anything when you drop it off at the shelter. The greatest thing about this shelter is that they are a no-kill shelter and will keep and animal until it is adopted out. I also like the fact that they are very transparent about what they do with donations.
