Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups, Primary & Elementary Schools
Mission: Our purpose is "to improve the quality of education for all marquez charter school students, by planning, funding, and/or operating supplemental education programs to enrich the curriculum of basic education offered to students at marquez charter school; and to conduct fundraising activities for the support of such programs. "
Programs: Provide class size reduction by paying for additional los angeles unified school district (lausd) teachers beyond those provided by lausd to improve the learning process and elevate the quality of education to marquez's students. These costs represent our payments to lausd to reimburse lausd for the salaries and benefits of these teachers.
support for enrichment classes that are not provided by lausd. These are generally science, pe, music, and art teachers. We also paid for a librarian/media specialist and an onsite i. T. Specialist to support and maintain all technology used for instruction.
provide for additional instructional aides beyond those provided by lausd to assist with instruction and teaching in the classroom.
a) provide educational supplies (for example, laptops and ipads for instruction, pe equipment, books for the library, etc. ) that is not covered by lausd as well as other support such as for field trips and 5th grade historical musicals. B) grants to marquez pta
