Mission: The fishing education foundation provides educators with an effective in-school program that empowers them to teach outdoor education to youth using fishing as the instructional method. The foundation's goal is to use fishing as a tool to bring awareness and stewardship of our natural resources, increase outdoor recreation participation, nurture lifelong conservation ethics and outdoor skills, and improve student values and performance among our nation's youth.
Programs: The foundation's national fishing in schools program provides educators with a curriculum, lesson plans, fishing kits, training and support. The program also provides grant funding to educational institutions to support the implementation of the national fishing in schools program.
