Mission: To provide programs that will enable low income individuals to attain the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation needed to become self-sufficient.
Programs: Food support- provide nutrition education, monthly food boxes to elderly and wic participants, collect and disseminate food supplies to low income households, and act as advocate for county residents in need.
family development- provide education and assistance to all generations of family members, and to help families to become healthier financially and physically as well as strengthening individual development skills.
housing- provide emergency and transitional shelter, rental assistance, first time home buyer purchase and repairs, case-management and supportive services energy education, and utility assistance.
education- provide quality adult education programs including skills assessment, onsite testing, remedial classes, tutoring, employment training, and study skills. Counseling in prison and employment readiness instruction. Aging- provide congregate and homebound meals, education classes, computer training, health education, screening, tax counseling and in home services of personal care and other support activites. Property development- provide affordable housing to "in need" individuals and provide incubated office space to promote economic growth. Support services- provides information and referrals to other agencies in the county to streamline client access, intake and case management for efficiency and client convenience. Other- recognized for innovative and strong fundraising and development practices. Volunteers are used extensively in many programs.
