I have had a great experience with my monthly Farms to Grow CSA box. The veggies and fruits are always fresh and abundant, and I love the surprise of the local pantry item that is included each month. I also love the delivery option this CSA has, it makes it very convenient for me. Will definitely be continuing with Farms to Grow!

Mission: FARMS TO GROW, INC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to working with Black farmers and underserved sustainable farmers around the country. Farms To Grow, Inc. is committed to sustainable farming and innovative agriculture practices which preserve the cultural and biological diversity, the agroecological balance of the local environment.
Results: According to the USDA Census of Agriculture in 2012 the number of African American farmers in the United States was 44,629 with 33,371 of them being principal operators. African American farm operators tend to be older with smaller farms, fewer acres, and lower sales but with the same challenges as larger farms only fewer opportunities. Our farmers reach out for assistance, resources for machinery, feed, succession plans, production assistance, drought issues, grant writing, and more... Our CSA program is a way for consumers to buy seasonal produce at the peak of ripeness direct from the farmer. After prepaying for a produce Harvest Bag, you will become a Subscriber of our CSA Program. As a Subscriber you are purchasing a share of the farmers crop in advance to support the growing season and investing in your health.
