Mission: The mission of family promise of effingham, inc. Is to help low income and homeless families achieve financial stability and independence by providing shelter, food, beds, and other necessary resources such as financial counseling and job search assistance. This is done through an interfaith hospitality network (ihn), which is a collaborative effort with houses of worship. Family promise provides shelter, food, and other resources during the day at the day center, including access to comprehensive case management; houses of worship provide rooms, food, and overnight shelter. Social service agencies refer homeless families, and the local community supplies volunteers to help acheive the organization's mission.
Programs: Family promise helped 4 families (16 individuals) transition from homelessness and regain financial independence.
