Mission: To affirm the humanity and dignity of homeless families, and to engage our community in helping them achieve sustainable independence.
Target demographics: homeless and chronically homeless families in the Capital Region. We also seek to address the lack of services accessible to immigrants, expectant mothers, and those denied assistance, to include shelter and healthcare.
Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2019, FPCR provided overnight hospitality and assistance to 9 families (40 families since FPCR’s inception in April 2015), rental assistance, to prevent eviction, to 15 distinct, assistance with household bills and unpaid medical bills to over 30 distinct families, and household items and toiletries to 15 distinct families. Greater than 50% helped were children. Since January of this year we have had one family graduate from FPCR, two families in the program, currently sheltering in place at our Day Center, and 18 families outside of the program who have been helped with unmet needs (i.e. rental assistance, household bills, medical bills, toiletries, food).
