I was 21 years old and had just underwent a left mastectomy, diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 18. It was such an extremely scary and rough time of my life at such a young age. Faces Family & Friends (complete strangers to me at the time) bent over backwards to be EXTREMELY supportive of me and my family. All that they have done for me can never be repaid!! They have empowered me to be the advocate that I am today and have become like a family to me! Would give 1 Million stars if it were possible!! :)

I was pleasantly surprised by the doorbell soon after breast surgery, by having dinner delivered to me and my family, as well as a gift card. This was a totally unexpected and delightful surprise. This brightens your day and a tremendous support to have someone care so much.

Shortly after my breast cancer diagnosis, I was completely surprised to receive in my mail a lovely card full of encouragement along with a gift card for dinner at a local restaurant. This act of kindness from a stranger at such a stressful time in my life touched me beyond words. Not only because it reminded me of the kindness and generosity of others, but because it really served an important purpose: this allowed me time out with my family (even better was that it was for a meal I didn't have to prepare or clean up after). After my diagnosis, time with my family was of the utmost importance to me and this was a great way to spend time with them. I love what Faces Family and Friends of Breast Cancer does for newly diagnosed people.
