Denny Wilson and his staff are an anchor for Recovery Oriented Systems of Care in this community. Their tireless advocacy for the sick and suffering is second to none. I've worked with them over decades, and am proud to have them in our city.
The facility is nice and well kept. The staff is wonderful. Denny Wilson is now a personal friend after helping my step daughter get through her battle with addiction. Highly recommended place to get started getting your life in order.
I recently received a tour of F I Community Housing and was absolutely amazed at what I saw! I've never been to a facility that has offered as much as this one does. The goal is truly to help build a real foundation for people who have gone through the toughest struggles in their lives and come back as productive members of society! What they do there is beyond what can be measured because you can't put a price on lives and their potential. F I Community Housing is one of Akron's greatest asset's and must be kept as such!
Denny Wilson and F. I Community Housing had faith in me during a dark place in my life and offered more than hope, F I gave me a place to call home. Denny Wilson to this day has been a mentor and will answer my call immediately to talk or ask questions that will aid in helping others or myself. As the founder and Executive Director of Akron Say No to Dope Inc a non-profit organization that places people in treatment, offers mentorship, hope, resources before and after treatment, Denny Wilson played an instrumental part in helping our organization become extremely successful. To date we have proudly provided 245 people with help in navigation to some form of treatment. F I offers so many wonderful services from feeding and clothing the less fortunate to housing people seeking recovery and beyond.
F I Community Housing has helped a number of people in the community, My son being one. When we first found out that our son had a problem with drugs and alcohol we were, as you can imagine, devastated! But shortly after we discovered this a family friend referred us to the CEO, Denny Wilson, who personally helped us get our son into treatment. He also took him in to his facility when he was released. Our son was in the home for 18 months. When he finally came home he joined the military, got married and he and his wife now have two sons. F I Community Housing helped our son discover the reason he began using and helped him come to terms with the trauma he had experienced in his life after the death of a friend. Thank you F I for helping our son find his way back!
