I have been a board member of this organization, Evangeline Ministries, since it started 7 years ago. The director, Wendy Ryan, was Led by God to leave her comfortable life in Falls Church, VA and go to South Africa to work with women who were devastated by AIDS/HIV. I met Wendy when I was working as a writer in VA. and although I am a friend and serve on her board, I think you will agree that my assessment of her work is impartial if you take a look at her website and blog.
Her work in Cape Town is supported by many individuals, independent organizations and churches and we just learned she will receive the Arise & Walk Ministries Foundation Missions Award this November.
Arise & Walk is an international organization providing medical supplies and services.
