This organization is one of the very few that aims to solve the problem of poverty in Ethiopia from a different angle. It's main goal is to give the gift of education to young Ethiopians in the city of Addis Ababa, who have the dream of pulling themselves and their family out of poverty but have no means to afford the education. EBS (Ethiopian Benefactors Society) selects such individuals and gives them the opportunity to choose their field of interest, covers all cost for their program and also covers basic health coverage costs.
I used to work as a volunteer and I have seen the organization steadily growing each year. It's also a great thing to see the lives of the young students (some of which I've recruited for the program) changed so much after they graduate and get a job.
