Entangled Whale Response of Orange County

Results: As a new organization, we had our first disentanglement on July 19, 2024, off the coast of Orange County. The operation involved an adult humpback whale with an entanglement on its fluke. After five days of effort, our team and other network members, led by NOAA, successfully freed the whale.
