Hi tech infusion programadministering intravenous (iv) therapies in a home setting can be more relaxing and less disruptive for patients than in hospitals. The hi-tech infusion program provides a team of highly trained professionals to administer these drugs to patients whose home environment is safe and adequate to support this care. Patients must have adequate light, running water and access to a telephone to participate in the program, and all care must be ordered by a physician. A nurse can initiate training in the hospital before a patient is discharged. A comprehensive plan will be created, a patient will learn how to carry out the therapeutic regime, and side effects will be discussed. An emergency plan will also be established. In october 2016, the organization ceased providing patient services.
