Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development - Agricultural
Mission: The elkhart county 4-h fair and its facilities were established, expanded and are to be maintained to enhance and encourage family and youth programs that promote the principles expressed in the 4-h creed: "head, heart, hand and health". Year round activity, economic development and increased community involvement are the base for continued pursuit of our purposes and ideals. Through participation in programs of leadership, education, agriculture, citizenship, character development and entertainment, we will work to enrich the quality of life for family and community. The volunteer spirit must be encouraged in all ways to continue the traditions, pride and achievements of the fair.
Programs: 4-h fair activities
to provide meeting room space for any 4-h clubs and extension service meetings throughout the year. In the current year, we provided meeting room space for 4-h clubs and extension service meetings.
to provide the community with space to hold larger private and public events. To attract functions or events that draw the public to our area for multiple night stays, which provides positive economic impact to the businesses in our community.
to provide office space for the purdue cooperative extension service as they provide programming. To provide office space for the farm service agency and soil and water conservation because of the agricultural connection with the fair.
