Causes: Environment, Environmental Education
Mission: The pratt center's mission is to stimulate a lifelong responsibility for, and joy in, the natural world. We encourage people to experience themselves as a part of nature, dependant upon the earth's resources.
Programs: School programs-provide in-school presentations at student assemblies, classroom visits and field trips. Curriculum areas include life physical and earth sciences and early american history. Programs are tailored for needs of preschool, elementary, gifted, and talented and special education students. School vacation day programs are based on sciences and early american history
summer day program-consists of several sessions during the summer vacation period for children ages 4-12. Approximately 675 children participate. Day camp activities are nature oriented.
community programs-include weekend and evening projects consisting of nature walks and related activities, workshops to develope outdoor skills and crafts.
