I have attended a QPR Training, Speaking Event and Fundraising Event provided by the Duck Cup Memorial. My daughters have been at many presentations at the school provided by the Duck Cup Memorial and even a Sports Psychologist provided by the Duck Cup Memorial to the softball team.
The conversations that are being had in schools and communities is so important. Removing the Stigma around talking about mental health is the goal of the Duck Cup Memorial and they are impacting over 30,000 individuals a year. It is such a blessing.
Duck Cup is an amazing non-profit that does so much good for so many people. I have listened to their community presentations on mental health, have taken online workshops and drove over two hours to take QSP- suicide prevention training. They are ready and willing to share their expertise and materials and worked hard to connect with my university to create a mental health plan for them. They are selfless in their time and energy helping anyone and going out of their way to make sure everyone has access to mental health training or presentations. Their work in schools and for sporting teams is life changing and possibly life saving work, especially with more students than ever before struggling with mental health. They are my go-to source for information and inspiration and I recommend all schools utilize their expertise! I have their information up on my office door at the university and recommend my college students, especially education majors, use their trainings and understand their role in our communities!
I have had the pleasure of working with this organization for the last several years. The opportunity to witness the difference in mental health awareness and education has been done first hand to hundreds of thousands of individuals. Greatful for the mission, the work and the opportunity that this organization provides.
