Mission: The organization's primary exempt purpose is to create a future free from violence by offering safety, support, proactive community education and a network of services to all persons who are victims of domestic violence.
Programs: Residential program - provide shelter and permanent supportive housing to women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. In 2016-17 the organization provided 3,728 bed nights to 68 individuals in the safe home program and permanent supportive housing program.
community services program offers a drop-in center providing referrals, support or advocacy for victims of domestic abuse. Support groups for victims are also available. In 2016-17 the organization had 766 calls to its 24-hour helpline, 84 clients visited the drop-in center for personal advocacy issues, and 1,169 people called/visited the court office for guidance. The new lea program served 137 people. In the organization's education component, the staff made 33 presentations and educated 766 people during this period.
court services program- provide family and district court advocacy for victims of domestic crimes as well as education and emotional support and assistance in obtaining restraining orders. In 2016-17 the organization assisted clients in 444 court cases and in obtaining 157 temporary restraining orders.
