Mission: Mission is to reduce the incidence and minimize the impact of domestic and sexual abuse in monroe county by directing victims to appropriate, effective programs and services.
Programs: Shelter: the domestic abuse shelter provides an emergency shelter at one - two locations in monroe county to victims of domestic violence. Last fiscal year, the domestic abuse shelter provided over 977 shelter nights to 117 victims of domestic violence.
outreach: the domestic abuse shelter provides outreach services throughout the florida keys, such as safety planning, crisis counseling, court advocacy and information and referrals. Last fiscal year, the domestic abuse shelter provided outreach services to 40 victims of domestic violence.
