This tiny non-profit has helped so many people in this very rural high poverty area properly care for their animals through food, veterinary care, and educational initiatives. Of course, they have also rescued countless animals lost or dumped in the area and helped reunite them with their owners or find new forever homes. The staff works on one with families to "fix" whatever problem they might be having in order to allow them to keep their animals, rather than having to turn them in to an animal shelter. I have benefitted form their services several times over the last twenty years, have adopted animals that needed homes, and have been grateful for efforts to bring shot clinics, spay and neuter services to our rural area.
