Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Devon’s Legacy Foundation is dedicated to honoring the life and dreams of Devon Nicholas Bellar by empowering young adults who share his passion for service, perseverance, and community. Through full tuition scholarships, mentorship, and strategic partnerships with fire departments and training programs, we support the next generation of firefighters in pursuing meaningful careers in public service. Our mission is to remove financial barriers and create opportunities for those who are ready to protect and serve. Guided by the values of commitment, integrity, and selflessness that Devon embodied, we work to ensure his legacy lives on—helping others achieve their dreams while strengthening the communities they serve.
Results: Devon’s Legacy Foundation officially received 501(c)(3) status in February 2025 and launched its first national Fire Academy Sponsorship Program in June 2025. Within months of launching, the foundation built partnerships with local fire departments, city leaders, and educational institutions to expand scholarship awareness and reach. Our social media outreach has engaged hundreds of community members, resulting in increased visibility and a growing network of supporters committed to Devon’s legacy. We’ve received dozens of early scholarship inquiries from across Central Florida and beyond—demonstrating a clear and urgent need for financial support among aspiring firefighters. To date, we’ve distributed downloadable resources, launched a mentorship interest program, and begun outreach to departments across Florida to facilitate ride-alongs and career exploration. Our foundation has been featured in regional media and nonprofit circles as a rising organization driven by purpose, personal story, and sustainable community impact.
