Mission: Dayspring of Michigan evolved from a little organization called St. Lawrence. It started out working from the back of cars, a closet at a book store. Someone needed a coat, someone was cleaning out their closet. A mother needed a little help with groceries one week, a couple of us pooled our money. That was five years ago. Since then the needs have grown, and we are proud to say we are still operating with 98 percent volunteers. We need help with finances, and we need volunteers. When asked what we do, we like to say we are the helping hands under all the other agencies. There are those who we've helped, who have come back and once they were back on there feet offered their help to us.
