Causes: Breast Cancer
Mission: Parents battling cancer struggle to balance their recovery with caring for their young children at home. Cuddle My Kids is a home based non-profit that focuses on the children directly affected by this disease. Through organized activities like crafts, journals, music and more, our volunteers entertain and enable young children to express their emotions in a positive way. Our program provides respite care to families, allowing moms, dads, and caregivers, valuable time to rest and heal, focus on their healing options thus easing their hardship while increasing their quality of life during treatment.
Geographic areas served: Suburban Areas of Philadelphia
Programs: Provided home visits to over 564 cancer patients. During the visits, activities were organized for the young children of the patient. Cuddle my kids provided the necessary resources to care for the families and help those dealing with cancer heal themselves.
