I have been on 2 hunts with Cover 6, originally it was supposed to be one but things did not go as planned at first. I was selected to hunt a Bison with CV6. We meet the day of the hunt in north Texas, a 7 hour drive for me. We hunted all day on the ranch but we were unsuccessful in finding the animals, I assumed that’s all we would do and I could try and get on another hunt another time, that was not the case. Rodney and the crew worked with the outfitter to get me back out about a month later. This time they put me up in a hotel just in case the hunt went long again, not just the night of but the night before too! I can not think of a more professional and decorated group! I am forever in their debt for the experience.

About 2 years ago I was able to get into a drawing for a bow fishing trip and won. It was a much needed trip to get away. The staff @ Cover6Outdoors were very nice and very accommodating. Needless to say, I had the greatest time. From that day forward, I had to get involved with Cover6Outdoors. Their core values and passion for helping vets are unmatched, and I had to be apart of Cover6Outdoors.
I’ve hunted with them years ago down near Del Rio. It was with another Veteran. We had an outstanding time hunting and just hanging out. Cover 6 is one of the top organizations out there that are truly outstanding 501(c)3 and take pride in everything they do.
While I have never hunted with Cover 6, I have followed them over the years and donated a hunt to them. Great organization that consistently gives time and memories to those who served.
It was mid Winter 2018 when Cv6 reached out to active/Veterans to go on a Sandhill crane hunt. As I stood, I never thought that I would associate myself with others. I was suffering from PTSD, TBI, Depression, and was drinking my pain away after 9.5 years as a 11B, and dealing with the worse massacre on Ft Hood with Nidal Hasan that I was in. I didnt know my direction. The day I drove 4 hrs I was thinking what is about to happen. When I arrived I met, and felt the love of brothers in arms. It was like a day that I had never left the Military. It was different branches that bonded, but its one thing in common we all served our Nation. It was the most satisfying weekend I have had in many years. Rodney puts his love into Veterans as he is a Vet himself. Since that weekend I have tried to involve myself Into any opportunity I can to volunteer. CV6 is a blessing and a world changer for Active and Veterans.
Great non profit group. They make sure everyone is having a great time and a safe one also. I wish I had land to let them hunt on. Thanks to them all for everything they do for veterans and active military members.
Haven't had the pleasure of heading out with these guys and gals yet, but I have had several encounters with the team when they are trying to set up a hunt/fish. They have been great to deal with and I can't wait to join them soon!
Applied for Cover 6 well over a year ago. Was promised an Axis hunt. Kept getting the run around. Was told by one of their staff members I could come hunt on his personal land. Got the run around from him as well. Never heard back from them on the Axis hunt that was promised to me well over a year ago now.

Went on the first hog hunt for the group and met the greatest group of guys!! Was an enjoyable weekend and glad I was able to attend.
Got to meet Rod and found out how this thing works. He has a passion for helping others and the outdoors. Super nice guy and he cares tremendously for our vets.
Cover 6 Outdoors is very proactive in the Veteran community. From taking Veterans on hunting/fishing trips to pointing me in the right direction to a very helpful VA mortgage lender, Cover 6 Outdoors is a very trustworthy group of battle buddies. They really have our 6!
I had just moved to Texas, and the bank account was drained due to the move. Top that with being home all day everyday, and no outlet, and my stress and depression was to the max. I reached out as a last resort, and Cover 6 answered the call. Within days they got me out into a pig. The weather was awful but I didn't even notice. This got me out long enough to destress, and unwind. Bonus, there was meat in the fridge now which I desperately needed.
It didn't end there either. This amazing group stays in contact with me to ensure my mental well being. They live up to their name of Cover 6 and then some. I cannot wait until I am fully back on my feet so I can give back and ensure the next guy in need has what is needed to bring him back.
I recently guided 2 Veterans on a Cover 6 sponsored fishing trip. As a disabled & retired Veteran I know what it means to need aget away from the day to day stresses.
One of the members of Cover 6 asked me if I would donate a trip for them and I was eager to volunteer. As the date came, I was contacted by one of the Vets to confirm and we had a great day.

Cover 6 is the greatest non profit i have ever dealt with. I started guiding hog dog hunts for them and they do everything possible to make sure the veteran has a awesome experince. The guys from cover 6 also sponsored my sons little league team jerseys and caps everyone came together so fast it was unreal. even people that didnt know me jump on the chance to help out
