Mission: FaFNY is working to keep children and families together through education and advocacy for social and political change in New York State. FaFNY speaks for the over 2 million non-custodial parents in New York State and advocates on their behalf with NY State and National Government. There is no government agency or organization that provides services, advocates or lobbies on behalf of noncustodial parents and families. FaFNY recognizes a need for family services from the perspective of noncustodial parents to benefit not only them but their children, spouses and extended families through intact families. We hope to keep families together for the benefit of all the family members, especially the children. --- To support the rights of parents to be involved in their children's lives and to raise their kids as they see fit withou t undue governmental interference. To bring awareness to parental rights issues and to encourage freedom and the right to parent which we believe is a natural civil liberty. We will work with and support any and all individual or groups who have the same or similar goals. To promote meaningful relationships between children and parent(s), regardless of the parents' current marital relationship. To support any divorced or separated parent(s) through challenges and changes that come with a divorce or separation. To provide a community of support, venues and events to foster a healthy support network of other like situated families and to encourage and strengthen a strong bond between parent and child. To foster relationships with other organizations who provide services to both parents or the children of said parents and to encourage the support and inclusion of either parent regardless of gender. To raise awareness where there is or appears to be gender bias in providing services or support to either parent. To provide services and healthy alternates from Family court such as mediation, supervisory services, venues and events supporting such efforts. ...
