Causes: Homeless & Housing, Senior Citizens Housing & Retirement Communities, Seniors
Mission: The Circus and Traveling Shows Retirement Project was founded to assist showpeople with age or health problems in their search for affordable housing in the Southwest Florida area. Our goal is to obtain locations and establish communities where show people can live and share their tradition.
Results: We have room for 10 families in our community. We have 8 families now and have room for 2 more. We hope to fill these spaces soon.
Target demographics: Showpeople have an affordable place to retire.
Geographic areas served: The Circus and Traveling Shows Retirement Project was founded to assist showpeople with age or health problems in their search for affordable housing in the Southwest Florida area. Programs: Established a community for low-income show-people offering affordable space for up to ten families. Providing limited emergency funds to families who experience an emergency.
