Our family recently hit some hard times. My husband had been out of work for more than 6 months, my special needs son was in the hospital, and then I lost my job. I wasn't in panic mode yet, because I could file for unemployment. Panic set in when unemployment was denied and I had to file an appeal which can take months. I sent out a general, "Hey, I need some ideas on how to get some assistance with my rent for this month" on a local Facebook page. Choose Love saw this and said "We want to help". I will forever be grateful for them helping us get over this bump in the road.
