Many years ago I was fortunate enough to visit Chirimoto with the Boston University Engineers Without Borders group. I have lost touch over the past several years, and it is good to see that others have continued to support this community in ways that are meaningful. It's not about showering communities with gifts, but providing them with resources to grow, build and educate others. Seeing the growth that has taken place already in infrastructure, organization and education and reading about the great things to come, I know that any donation, big or small, will help this area of Peru to brighten the lives and prospects for not only the individuals directly affected but for the community and neighboring communities.
