Mission: To improve the lives of children and promote strong families by partnering with community organizations to provide services to strengthen individuals, families and community life.
Programs: Clinic: committed to serving children and families at risk, children's friend's (cf) four clinics employ 30 full time clinicians and provided outpatient clinical services to a combined total of 1,508 children and family members during 2014. Cf's clinic program also provides outreach in schools, homes, and day care settings. Cf is a leader in implementation of best practice/outcome-driven models for both clinical work and operations management.
community service agencies (csa's): cf operates two community service agencies that work with families and community partners to build mental health systems of care with responsive services for families and youth with serious emotional disabilities. The csa's provide two types of services: intensive care coordination (icc) and family support and training (fst). Cf's two csa's employ 45 full time professional case workers and peer support workers and served 673 clients during 2014.
therapeutic mentoring (tm): cf provides therapeutic mentoring at all four of its sites. Therapeutic mentors work one on one with behaviorally challenged youth and engage them in activities designed to develop skills that will better enable them to function in the community in a health and productive way. Cf employs 32 therapeutic mentors who provided services to 580 clients during 2014.
