Mission: Our mission is to introduce children and their families from the new york metropolitan area into a growing relationship with the lord jesus christ by providing camping and discipleship ministries and encouraging involvement in a local church.
Programs: Camp hope:camp hope runs during the months of june, july and august. This camp is designed to cater to the physically and/or mentally disabled campers. Some of these disabilities include; cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, visual impairments, seizure disorders and mild or moderate mental retardation. Besides gaining a relationship with the campers for future mentoring, it is a chance for these young people with special needs to be together and share their struggles, dreams and victories. They also experience many of the same activities as camp joy, but at their level.
camp joycamp joy runs during the months of june, july and august. This camp caters to the disadvantaged children of the inner-city of new york city. Camp joy is a safe place for the children to experience the beauty god has created. They are brought to the facilities in carmel, new york where they spend the week doing a variety of camp activities. During this time a relationship is built with the camper and they are given the opportunity to learn about god and all that he has to offer them through devotional times and times of worship and praise. During the rest of the year, we follow up on and mentor the participants with the relationships that have been developed. The goal is also to connect them and their families with a local church.
city ministry: city ministry: our city ministry program is to concentrate on ministry efforts in the neighborhoods of the children that we serve during the summer and reaching others and their families in the area. Our city team works with children through various churches. They help to facilitate after school programs and bible clubs in partnership with churches and other outside sources. This is done with staff from our main headquarters. This program is also to help facilitate community outreach with the neighborhood churches in an effort to bring families into the local church body. This is a year round ministry which uses the camps as a resource
