Mission: To further the protection and conservation of cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) and their ocean and freshwater habitats through law, legal systems, regulatory frameworks, education and outreach, and training.
Programs: Worked with whale-watching communities to increase protections for cetaceans while developing a sustainable and respectful whale-watching tourist industry around the world including, dominica, the south pacific and canada.
worked with the commission for environmental cooperation to research the effects and potential effects of climate change on whale-watching communities in and around marine protected areas in the united states, canada and mexico in order to inform policy makers.
developed educational materials and outreached to the public, including the legal community and law students, at conferences and events in order to educate about cetaceans and the current legal landscape of protections.
