Mission: The organization's primary mission is to provide immigration legal services and community education about immigration law. This involves legal representation to the low-income immigrant community, including help to those brought to the us illegally as children.
Programs: Centro de ayuda legal para inmigrantes'(cali) main mission since its creation was to provide quality legal representation to the low-income immigrant community. On may 2015, cali opened a new office in gilroy, california, to serve low income community living in monterey, santa cruz, and san benito counties. During this fiscal year, cali began doing public service announcements on live tv and participating in community phone banking. It has been a part of cali's mission to offer legal representation and community education to people who were brought into the country illegally at a very young age by their parents. (see schedule o for description of additional programs)as part of the focus on community outreach, informational sessions on immigration policies and regulations are held, visits were made to battered women's support groups to educate victims of violence on the legal resources available to them as victims. Additionally, information is provided at fairs and community events.
