Mission: Central michigan guardianship, inc. Provides guardianship services for persons with developmental disabilities. The process is initiated with community mental health organizations and approved by the courts. Activities include attending meetings, approving programs,living conditions, medical treatment, and filling out paperwork for residential providers, funding agencies, and the courts.
Programs: Central michigan guardianship has provided guardian and advocate services this program year to over 100 developmentally and/or mentally disabled persons who could not do so on their own behalf. The guardian services included preparing reports and making visits to the court, attending client's meetings with community mental health, doctors, nurses, family members and co-workers. Other services include record searches, hospital visits, funeral pre-planning, fiduciary and payee services.
