Mission: Cuwr works as an advocate and agent for the transformation of stigmatized and degraded land sites into ecologically, economically and socially viable amenities.
Programs: Under a grant from the epa, cuwr organized and compiled wetlands data from the states of wisconsin and california into a form usable in a national us fish & wildlife database. Cuwr's work will help track wetlands restoration and wetlands habitat loss. Under agreements with the u. S. Army, cuwr implemented institutional controls at an approximately 4,500 acre army parcel that was used historically for ammunition demolition purposes. Cuwr's work included boundary monitoring, installation of warning signage and educational materials, landowner notifications, and conducting community awareness briefings and education meetings.
