Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The center for restorative youth justice (cryj) works to actively engage youth, victimes, families, communities in restorative programming that interrupts cycles of harm. Our programs create opportunities for at-risk youth to deepen community connections and to find access to important support and reflection that results in powerful change. We are based in kalispell, montana and work with agencies, institutions and individuals are the nation to promote restorative responses to community harm.
Programs: Restorative alternative accountability: vcryj's restorative programming served over 250 youth, engaging in restorative dialogue with direct victims and community volunteers - as well as reflective workshops and pportunities for social emotional learning.
youth connections - provided over 300 youth offenders with the support and structure needed to fulfill accountability requirements. Acitivities included community services, group mentoring and other competency development projects. More than 3000 hours of community services dedicated, with more than 50 projected partners and program volunteers.
victim impact program - provided timely, sensitive and victim focused justice response to over 200 victims of juvenile crime referred by flathead county.
