Mission: The mission of the center for health equity is to facilitate improvements in health care delivery and health outcomes in order to optimize community health and eliminate health disparity, using tools that empower indigenous leaders and communities to develop, implement and evaluate health programs through research, education, training, advocacy and the practical application of evaluation principles and methods.
Programs: Outreach - includes recruitment of individuals who are eligible for program services.
education - topics related to the importance of preventive health care, healthy behaviors, risks associated with poor birth outcomes are provided in all communities throughout gadsden county in individual and group settings.
case management - a comprehensive, collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to case coordination for high risk african american women and children at risk for poor birth and health outcomes.
